TBARG NET IS MONDAY NIGHT AT 2100 LOCAL TIME: 146.86 CARC REPEATER
Traverse Bay Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Group Net Preamble
Good evening everyone. This is K8GTC Club call for the Traverse Bay Amateur Radio Emergency Services Group or TBARG for short. Use of the club call was authorized by the club trustee K8RCT. I am (your name and call)and will be tonight’s Control operator for this net.
The purpose of this net is to provide you the opportunity to check your equipment to make sure it is working properly. We will also pass along any time sensitive announcements and weather bulletins that may be affecting our area. If the repeater fails during an event, We will move our net to the 147.10 repeater. If the 147.10 repeater is not functioning, we will then move to 146.52 simplex.
At this time I will stand by for any stations with emergency or priority traffic, please call K8GTC net control with your traffic.
Are there any announcements, please call net control. (log all announcements, you will need to summarize these back to the net just before closing the net).
Net Control will now proceed with Roll Call of stations that have previously checked into the net. When acknowledged by Net Control, Please give your, Name, Location, if you are on utility or emergency power and if you have any traffic for the net. At the end of the roll call I will then proceed with new and late check-ins. (Go through the list of regular check-in. Acknowledge each station with their call and/or name. That way they will know they have been heard.) Net Control will now stand by for all other check in’s. Again, please give your callsign. When acknowledged by net control, then give your NAME, UTILITY OR EMERGENCY POWER, AND IF YOU HAVE TRAFFIC FOR THE NET. This is K8GTC Net Control.
(Then ask for the call, name POWER, location of other stations that would like to check-in to then net. Acknowledge each station and indicate they will be added to the list of regular check-in for next weeks net.)
REVIEW ANNOUNCEMENTS This is K8GTC, club call for the Traverse Bay Amateur Radio Emergency Services Group concluding this evenings Area Emergency Services Net. This net will be held again next Monday at 21:00 hours local time.
